Sarah Jane Crockett Lowery, March 28, 1930 ~ September 17, 2012.

Member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, Kilgore, Texas. Born March 28, 1930 to Claude C. Crockett and Fannie Nevada Mapes Crockett in Covington, Louisiana, St. Tammany Parish. Married Joseph Curtis Lowery on May 27, 1949 in Nacogdoches, Texas.
From this union were two beautiful children, Deborah Janice Lowery Smith and Alan Curtis Lowery. Preceded in death by her husband Rev. Joseph C. Lowery. Married 60 years, 3 month and 8 days. Also by her parents and brothers Floyd and Harrell Crockett of Clarks, Louisiana. One nephew, James Whisenant of Lufkin, Texas. Survivors are her daughter Deborah Lowery Smith and her husband David. Son Alan Lowery and his wife Donna. Grandchildren are Sarah Smith Dolezal and her husband Carl, Joseph Smith, Ashlea Smith Gill and her husband SSG Jeffrey Gill, Matthew Smith and his wife Laticia, Courtnie Smith, Diana Lowery, Amber Lowery, Adam Lowery, step-granddaughter Amber Lawhorn Franklin and her husband Josh. One sister, Joenette Whisenant of Lufkin, Texas. Seven great-grandchildren with number eight arriving in November and seven nieces and one nephew.
Public visitation will be form 6-7pm and family from 7-8pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview on Thursday, September 20, 2012. A graveside service will be on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 10:00am at Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Jayson Galler officiating. Memorials can be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church Building Fund, 713 Florey, Kilgore, Texas 75662. No tears of sorrow but tears of gladness for TODAY I am with Jesus. Again I say REJOICE for HE is risen. May you ever walk with Jesus.
