Sarah Frances Nowell's Obituary
Sarah Frances Nowell age 92, formerly of Henderson, passed peacefully into her new life on December 7, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Rev. William Homer Nowell, her parents Tommie and Bessie Wright, five siblings, and one grandson. She is survived by her three children and their spouses Bill and Lavonia Nowell of Tyler, David and Susan Nowell of Jefferson City, TN, and Linda and Charles Means of Brazoria, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandchild. A native of Henderson, Texas, she loved her role as a pastor's wife, serving churches in Henderson, Cass County, Kildare, Freeport, Pecos, and Baton Rouge. She is lovingly remembered in each of those communities for her heart for the church and her service to the faithful. The family wishes to thank Oak Brook Health Care Center in Whitehouse, Trinity Mother Frances Hospital, and Hospice of East Texas for the excellent care they gave over the past few months. Visitation for family and friends will be December 10, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at New Prospect Baptist Church, Henderson, with a celebration of life service and burial immediately following under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home.
