Funeral services for Sandra Lou ?Sandy? Matthews, 64, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in New Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Haynesville, LA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the funeral home. Mrs. Matthews was born on February 27, 1945 in San Bernardino, CA to Jack Greggory and Margaret Montgomery Goode. She passed away on January 2, 2010 in Dallas. She was a member of the New Covenant Church in Longview. She is survived by her husband, Brent Matthews; children, Stephanie Whitehurst, Bryan Griffin, David Matthews, Sara Matthews; grandchildren, Amaris Whitehurst, Jonathan Whitehurst, Stephen Whitehurst; mother-in-law, Dixie Matthews; step grandmother, Rosalia Holt of Haynesville, LA; her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Mike Gilstrap and their children, Leslie Khalaf and Chris Gilstrap; as well as great nieces and nephew, Andrew, Lauren, and Elena.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of Sandy to: New Covenant Church, 5621 FM 2087 S., Longview, Texas 75603.
