Sandra Sue Powers
Funeral services for Sandra Sue Powers, 64, of Longview, will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at 4 PM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Reverend Bailey officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Ft. Worth at 2 PM Wednesday May 29. She went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 26, after a long illness.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 PM Tuesday, prior to the service.
Mrs. Powers was born June 20, 1937 in Ft. Worth. She had been a resident of Longview since 1974, and was the owner/operator of ''Witty Dittys'' in Longview. She was a member of AMBUCS TOO, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her father, B. C. Stewart, and her grandmother, Eula Walker.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Michele Powers of Burleson, and Cliff and Shannon Powers of Garland; daughters and son-in-law, Staci and Mike Carre of Longview and Christi Dupree of Grapevine; brothers, Bernie Stewart of Austin and Jerry Stewart of Lynden, WA.; mother, Elmer Ellen Stewart of Longview; grandchildren, Neil, Drew, Paige, and Leah Powers, Dana and Jason Dupree, Brett and Ryan Carre, and Chelsea and Grant Powers.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gregg North Unit, P.O. Box 906, Longview, Texas 75606.
