Sandra Olason's Obituary
It’s hard to let go of someone who gave you so many blessings. Our family is smiling though the tears over the loss of Sandra Jean Olason who passed away May 23,2017, surrounded by her son and daughter. Sandy, Sissy, Wife, Mom and Gran are just a few of the names she will be remembered by. Anyone who has ever crossed her path will always remember her wit, generosity and so much more.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Gracie Sanders, sister Tyra Jo, son Willie Knight and her life partner W.R. “Bob” Walker. Sandy leaves her legend to be carried on by her daughter Michaele and son-in-law Rick Brazelton of Carrollton, TX son and daughter-in-law Kris and Tiffany Olason of Longview, TX. daughter-from-another-mother Tracy Gallant of Longview, TX. Sandy was blessed to give and receive the love of 5 grandchildren. Nicholas and Amanda Olason of San Diego Ca., Mike and Matt Harris of Carrolton TX. and Brandy Knight of Phoenix Az.
Sandy was a dynamic force with the gift of wisdom beyond the likes of many others. Sandy graduated Gilmer High School where she lovingly earned the nickname Sissy. Sandy retired from Skeeter Products as Vice President of Human Resources after 25 years of service.
Sandy requested that her family not have a public service. She instead wants everyone to remember her in your heart, in your own way. As a family, we agreed to uphold her wishes and will have a private family gathering to celebrate our mother who gave everything to teach us what it is to be truly loved. We will miss you mom and we will always love and honor you.
