Over the past few years, I have watched you all take such good care of your parents. I admire and respect you both so much. I know the past few years have been hard ,but you all have shown an enormous amount of love and devotion to your parents. My family and I continue to miss Harry and we all loved Sandra so much. Michael and Marcia,

It is very difficult for me to express my feelings on an open type forum where other people read them. But, here goes!

While at the funeral home on Thursday evening, I couldn't help but remember all the times that Sandra and Harry "rescued" June and I when we were kids and teens- from crazy horses and minibike mishaps to tomboy tendencies and hair havoc. Our hair was alway stringy and wouldn't keep a curl, but Sandra was determined that she could change that. She gave us many perms! And for a few day we would be "gorgeous."
Of course, they rescued us many other times that you guys will never be able to know or understand, but we will never be able to forget.
Most importantly, we will never forget your beautiful parents, my brother and sister-in-law, and the godly way they faced the challenges that life presented them. Oh, that I might have, "a fraction of Sandra's faith", too.
