Samuel Leigh Howell's Obituary
Funeral services for Samuel Leigh Howell, 78, of Longview, will be 10 AM Saturday, November 13, 2004 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, with Brother Kenneth Bowden and Pastor James Singleton officiating.
Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery.
Mr. Howell was born May 22, 1926 in Griffithville, Arkansas to General B. and Clara Leigh Howell. He passed away, Monday, November 8, 2004 at a local medical center.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University and a former resident of Sacramento, California, Mr. Howell worked as a chemist in the aerospace industry fro Aero-Jet General in Fair Oak, California and Morton Thiokol Longhorn Army Ammunition Plant in Karnack, TX.
He served his country in the US Marine Corp as a staff sergeant, and was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday evening, from 6-8 PM.
Mr. Howell is survived by his loving wife, Helen Lillian Howell; sons, William Howell, James Howell, Robert Howell; daughter-in-laws, Connie Howell, Donna Howell and Hellen Howell; grandchildren, James, Joey, Johnathan, Chris, Kelley, Michael and Crystal Howell, Michelle Hooper, Amber, Josh, Jacob; great grandchildren, James Tyler Howell, Skyler Michelle Howell, Michael Ennox and Nicole Hooper.
