Funeral Services for Samuel Edward Coleman, Jr., 74, of Hallsville, will be held at 10 AM, Friday, March 28, 2003 at Little Flock Baptist Church with Pastor Ted White and Leon Veazey officiating. Burial will follow in Noonday Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Coleman was born on July 26, 1928 in Hallsville, to Samuel Edward, Sr. and Verna Lee Keasler Coleman. He passed away on March 25, 2003 in a Longview hospital.
He was a self employed construction worker, a mason, and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kimberly Irene Coleman, and one granddaughter, Tabitha Coleman. He is survived by his wife, Doris Coleman of Hallsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel Edward , III and Patricia Coleman, Timothy Wayne and Suzanne Coleman, Shane Coleman; daughter and son-in-law, Robin Elizabeth and Jeff Crossland; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; stepmother, Irene Coleman; sister, Billie Howe; brothers, Robert L. Coleman, and Tommy Coleman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
