In loving memory of Sally Sacra Searcy Green, who peacefully departed this life on May 24, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Sally was born on April 28, 1938, in Kilgore, Texas, to the late William "Spot" Searcy and Mary Clementine Wilburn Searcy. A woman of grace and dignity, Sally's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family.
Sally was a devoted homemaker and a woman of deep Christian faith, raising her family with unwavering dedication and love. She was married to her beloved husband, Lane Arden Green, on June 28, 1958, in Kilgore, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter in College Station, Texas, while Lane completed his degree at Texas A&M College ‘60. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership that lasted 31 years until Lane's passing in 1989.
Sally's education began in Kilgore before she moved on to Hawkins High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed her love for community and service. Her passion for helping others was evident in her 25 years of volunteer work as a “Pink Lady” at Good Shepherd Hospital.
An active member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Longview, Hallsville First Baptist Church, and later Fellowship Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Sally dedicated countless hours to volunteer work within her church communities. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, inspiring those around her with her kindness and generosity.
Sally found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was playing cards or board games with friends and family or cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and activities. Her gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued was a hallmark of her character. She never missed an opportunity to express her pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, encouraging them in all their endeavors.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Heritage Healthcare Center of Longview, and Prime Care Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Sally's final days.
