Salie Perkins' Obituary
Salien Perkins, a resilient soul who faced life's challenges with strength, passed away on March 2, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was a resident of Longview, TX, and her departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her.
Born on July 26, 1952, to George and Sally Vogl. She spent many fulfilling years working in the retail industry, where her dedication and hard work endeared her to colleagues and customers alike.
Salien was preceded in death by her loving parents, as well as her brothers Larry Vogl and Phillip Vogl, and her sister Georgellen McIlvaney. Although she has departed this world, her memory will continue to live on through those she loved and those who loved her.
Salien leaves behind her devoted partner, Linda Worley, who stood by her side. She is also survived by her loving sons, Shon Berry (Denniece) and Phillip Berry (Brittnie), and her daughter, Cara Stutzman (Blake). Her legacy further extends to her grandchildren: Andrew Berry, Benjamin Berry, Ethan Stutzman, Avary Stutzman, Sydney Berry, and Zachary Berry. Salien's love for her family was unwavering, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Salien's life will be held on Saturday March 23, 2024, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory.
