Sadie Montine Lay, 90, of Longview passed away on Friday afternoon, February 14, 2003 in a Longview hospital. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, February 16, 2003 at Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road. A private burial will be held in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Mrs. Lay was born on June 12, 1912 in Columbia, Alabama to Homer and Dobie Martin.
She was a homemaker and a member of the World Wide Church of God.
A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Lay was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived her son and daughter-in-law, William and Jacie Lay of San Antonio, grandchildren, William Lay, Jr., and Stephen Matthew Lay, both of San Antonio, and sister, Claire Shepherd.
