Ryan Carlisle's Obituary
Philippians 1:20-21
“It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
Ryan Johns Carlisle, a servant of the Lord, was rewarded out of this life on 6/27/19.
Ryan Carlisle was the intentional Godly leader of his home. He loved on Bridgit daily, always going the extra mile to show his affection. Their mornings spent in the word, worship, and prayer will forever be cherished. He was a constant courter of his daughter Ava’s love and affection. Their frequent Daddy/daughter dates and times spent together were an example to fathers everywhere of how to treat your daughter. With Max, Ryan always had time. Times playing sports, hunting, or fishing were always a priority and he always jumped at the chance for quality time.
Ryan without a doubt had a God given love for youth. It wasn’t just a job to him, and numerous times he would take kids into his house for even extended stays when their home life wasn’t good. His passions was discipleship. He constantly poured into teens hearts through mentorship and challenging Bible reading programs, but most importantly through modeling a passionate love for Christ. Ryan’s greatest pastime was reading God’s word and prayer. No matter how late the night or early the morning, Ryan would always gravitate to the Bible.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents Tommie Carlisle and Kenneth and Jenny Johns.
He is survived by his wife Bridgit Carlisle and two precious kids Ava and Max, Father and Mother Terry and Kathy Carlisle, Brother Tad and wife Mary Grace, Grandmother Helen Carlisle and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Ryan will be Monday, July 1, 2019 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Mobberly Baptist church in Longview. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church and interment to follow at Rosewood Park in Longview.
