Ruth Seal McKinley Dixon's Obituary
Private graveside services for Ruth Seal McKinley Dixon, 77, of Henderson will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2010 with Rev. Rick Sitton officiating. Burial followed at New Salem Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Dixon died Friday, February 19, 2010, at her residence after a courageous battle of pancreatic cancer.
Ruth was born March 1, 1932 in Troup, TX. to Thurman N. and Martha Miller Seal.
She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church, The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Order of the Confederate Rose, Texas Agri Life Extension, Rusk County Master Gardeners, Keep Henderson Beautiful, Depot Museum, Irving Book Review Club and Founder of Lake Striker Property Owners Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George E. McKinley, Jr.; daughter, Kathleen Edwards; granddaughter, Candace Smith; sister, Betty Joy Ivy; brothers, Franklin Seal and Kenneth Raden Seal.
Surviving is her husband, Floyd E. Dixon; daughter, Diana Smith and husband Joseph;
Sons; John Michael McKinley of Henderson and Kenneth Patrick McKinley and wife Zuila of Irving; stepsons, Terry McKinley of Dallas, Gary McKinley of Washington, Steve E. Dixon of Bedford; brother, Rollin "Skip" Seal of Tulsa, OK; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved without reservations
