Funeral services for Ruthie Waits Ford, 59, of Kilgore will be held at Twelve O'clock Noon Wednesday June 17, 2009 at the Chalk Hill Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jimmy Ames officiating. Interment will follow in Chalk Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Ford passed away Saturday June 13, 2009 in Henderson.
She was born September 9, 1949 in Longview, Texas. She was a member of the Chalk Hill Assembly of God Church and a manager at Wal-Mart. She was devout Christian, great wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to travel and spend time with family, and everyone she met loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Ford of Kilgore; daughter, LaDonna Williams of Lake Cherokee, son, David Bowers of Beckville; two grandchildren, DeMarkus Avery Lathan, Megan Venice Lathan; parents, Thomas and Emma Waits of Lake Cherokee; three sisters, Becky Helms and husband Bill of Tatum; Brenda Pither and husband Pat of Chalk Hill; Dory Ferrell and husband Jimmy of Oak Hill.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday June 16, 2009 from 6-8pm.
