Mary Ruth Curtis
Funeral services for Mary Ruth Curtis of Longview will be held at Ten O?clock AM Tuesday November 13, 2007 at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Curtis passed away Saturday November 10, 2007 in Longview.
She was born April 15, 1928 in Brachfield, Texas to John and Mary Orr, the youngest of six children. She attended Minden School, and graduated from Henderson High School. After graduation she attended Business School in Ft. Worth. She was a resident of Lake Cherokee for 43 years. A current resident of Eden Place where she was loved by many. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church since 1964.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Curtis.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Gillis and husband David of Lake Cherokee, Patricia Plouffe and husband Robert of Clifton, VA.; son James Fears and wife Barbara of Longview, TX.; grandchildren, Jeffrey, John and Jason Gillis, Christina and Jennifer Plouffe, and Robert and Bruce Lee, sister, Lucille Fiore of Harrisonburg, VA.; sister-in-laws, Joyce Orr of Edmond, OK.; Ella Mae Orr of Henderson, TX.; fourteen great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved, admired and known for her laughter, humor and wonderful heart. She will be greatly missed until we meet again in heaven.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday November 12, 2007 from 6pm until 8pm.
