Though it has been many years since I have been to Mrs. Humke’s house, as a childhood friend of Norma’s, I had always felt welcomed by her. Fond memories never forgotten. Prayers to the whole family. With love, Yvette Penny Dauster.
It truly was beautiful to see this family come together. What a great group of kind and loving folks. I sat back and watched as all of the family photos where being taken. The smiles and laughter where wonderful.
I can only think of how proud your Mom is of her family. I am so proud that my daughter Laura married into such a loving family.
We have lived next door to the Humke family for the past 40 years. What a wonderful family! Our hearts break for your sorrow and we will miss knowing Ruth will never be our neighbor again. About 4 years ago, Ruth invited my family of four to come for Thanksgiving dinner, even though her house was already full of family. I worried that we would make it too crowded but she didn't mind at all. You could tell that her philosophy was "The more, the merrier!" She was an amazing lady who will be missed dearly.
