Ruth Huckabee Henley's Obituary
Memorial services for Ruth Huckabee Henley of Fairfield Bay, AR, formally of Longview, will be held Friday November 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, with burial following at Rock Springs Cemetery in Gladewater, TX with Nathan Rogers officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM Friday prior to the service at Rader.
Ruth was born in Boyce Louisiana on February 7, 1930 to Edgar and Eunice Brow and died peacefully at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR after a 3 year battle with ovarian cancer. Soon after her high school graduation, she married Edward Huckabee in January 1948. They were blessed with 3 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father in-law, her husband Ed Huckabee, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and her son, Kent Huckabee .
She is survived by her husband, Bill Henley, of Fairfield Bay AR, her daughters and son-in-laws, Brenda and Jeff Cotton of Shreveport, LA, Debbie and Gary Green of Longview, TX, Jeannie and Bob Saunders of Hot Springs, AR., 7 grandchildren and spouses , and 8 great grand children. Sisters, Kitty and Bob Murphy of Monroe, LA, Betty Barnette of Alexandria, LA and Margarite Dryer of Longview, TX, aunt, Mary Beebee of Boyce LA, her brothers and sisters in-law and a host of nieces and nephews and friends, all of whom she loved so much.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , Ovarian Cancer Research in her memory.
