Ruth Eason
Funeral services for Ruth Eason, 90, of Longview will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, March 7, 2009 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Tim Lindsay officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery. She passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
Mrs. Eason was born March 29, 1918 in Marshall to Alex and Lula George. She grew up in Marshall and in 1937 moved to Longview. From 1955 to 1968, she was the owner and operator of Ruth's Beauty Bar and then she became a homemaker. She loved gardening and was a member of the Winterfield Garden Club. She was a charter member of the Valley View Baptist Church in Longview.
Mrs. Eason was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Roland "Bogie" Eason; and her daughter, Charlene Eason.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Karen Moore and husband Sterling and Nancy Roach; grandchildren, Bradly and LeAnn Roach, Adam and Christine DeMarais, Dean and Robyn DeMarais, Jennifer DeMarais, and Kasey and Rick Rousseau; great grandchildren, Weston Roach, Bryce Roach, Paine Jennings, Peyton DeMarais, Cassidy DeMarais, Daniel DeMarais and Jordyn DeMarais; sister, Alice Gaw; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Virginia Morris and Dorothy Stocker.
