Ruth Butridge Justice
Services for Ruth Butridge Justice, 91, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, November 11, 2001 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Reverend Jonathan Jehorek officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman at 3 PM Tuesday. She died Sunday, November 11, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Justice was born May 16, 1910 in Sherman, Texas. She had been a resident of Longview for the past 30 years. Her husband, James B. Justice preceded her in death on March 13, 1971. After his death, she moved from Ft. Worth to Longview to be nears her family. Mrs. Justice and her husband had no children, but kept their niece, Joanne Avis Many summers. She was treated as a daughter of theirs.
Mrs. Justice was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Longview. She had been a faithful and diligent worker in all the Presbyterian churches where she had lived.
Mrs. Justice was also a hospital volunteer in Ft. Worth Harris Hospital, Good Shepherd Medical Center, and Longview Regional Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lee Moseley and Luella B. Avis and her brother, Clarence A. Butridge.
Survivors include niece, Joanne Avis Sherrell of Longview, nephew C. E. Butridge of Friso, and cousin, Bertha L. McCuan of Sherman, Texas.
