"Hey, this is Rusty from the States." I can't believe I won't be hearing that greeting anymore when I pick up the phone. Rusty was a true friend and we will miss him. He faced many challenges in life, but I rarely heard him complain. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Holloway family and especially Delores.

Rusty touched my life in a way that is hard to put into mere words. He inspired me with his love of life, his nonconformist nature when he believed in something or someone and his willingness and joy in sharing his love for our Lord and Savior. He had a love of knowledge and was constantly seeking new information about the things in the world that interested him. I am blessed to have known Rusty and it is an honor to call him my friend. Soar my dear friend. Soar, and soak up the beauty and joy around you. I love you.

Wednesdays won't be the same from now on. Rain or shine, I got at least one phone call from Rusty every Wednesday with the exception of last week. He loved to talk and he especially loved to laugh and he always made me laugh. Even when I wasn't at my phone he would leave a message mocking my voice which always ended with laughs. Rusty also loved Delores very much, he loved to talk about her and pray for her. Delores we will be praying for you! Rusty was a neat guy and great friend!!
RUSTY, I am going to miss all of your daily phone calls to me. You and Dolores always made me laugh. I am going to miss your visits every time you had a doctors appointment here at U.T. Health North East. You made me laugh when I didn't think there was anything to laugh at. I will miss our lunches together when I was able to get away from my desk.
