Russell Doyle Instine's Obituary
Russell Doyle Instine, 'Rusty', was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in the Salvation Army Hospital to Teresa Doyle and Lloyd Nathan Turpin. His birth father was not in his life and his birth mother gave him up at the age of 3 yrs old. He spent the next two years in an orphanage in Cincinnati before being adopted by Karl & Lucille Instine of Springfield, Ohio. He was loved by his new parents and raised as a Christian. He never felt the need to find his birth parents. It wasn't until he was in his late 60's that his daughter Renee insisted on finding out about her medical history. With both of his adoptive parents deceased, he agreed. In researching his ancestry, she discovered that he had a half-brother of his same age. His brother Ronald Lloyd Turpin had searched for his brother over 40 years and was delighted to find him. Rusty, who grew up as an only child was also thrilled about the reunion. As a teenager in Springfield,Ohio while attending high school, Rusty met Jackie 'Jacquelyn Louise Needles'. Their commitment to one another produced 3 children, Renee Louise Truncale, Randall LaRoi Instine & Rodman Bayne Instine and almost 66 years of marriage. Rusty had a stent in the Navy after the Korean War and helped to ship soldiers home from overseas. After his service, he joined the Bell Telephone System in Ohio as an installer. In moves to California (1967) and Texas (1974), he continued his career with 'Ma Bell' and retired after 33 yrs. In his retirement, he ran a local sawmill and was added to the 2 million board foot club with 'Wood-Mizer'. Rusty loved his church family at The Church of the Nazarene in Henderson. He was a true believer and joined his heavenly father on January 17, 2021 at about 1:30 pm, surrounded by family and his passing was peaceful. Rusty was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Renee. He leaves behind his loving wife Jackie Instine, two sons Randy Instine and wife Sharen of Prescott Valley, AZ and Rod Instine and wife Angie of Henderson, TX; one son-in-law Pete Truncale of Neveda, TX; a brother-in-law Robert Needles of Springfield, OH, 2 sisters-in-law Kaye Mink with Randy Ireland and Barb Turpin; numerous nieces and nephews; 9 grandchildren Brad Truncali and wife Amanda of McKinney, TX, Tara Instine of Carthage, TX, Jessica Jett of Tyler, TX, Matthew Benton of Thornton, CO, Chris Instine of Henderson, TX, Alisha Benton of Minneapolis, MN, Blake Instine and wife Kaeli of Henderson, TX, Hunter Instine of Prescott Valley, AZ, Landon Instine of Prescott Valley, AZ; 14 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, friends and precious other loved ones.
