Russell Allen Clark Sr.'s Obituary
Russell Allen Clark Sr, age 93, was called home to the Lord March 14, 2026
Russell was born December 7, 1932, in a little town called Wytheville, VA, and loved to show off his Virginian accent anytime he could.
After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Air Force in 1952 to proudly serve his country for 4 years. Shortly after leaving the Air Force in 1956, Russell began working for SWEPCO (Southwestern Electric Power Company) and remained with them for 37 years, finally retiring in 1993.
Russell was a Deacon in his church, Greggton First Baptist Church in Long view, TX.
Russell had a passion for fishing, woodworking, coin collecting, and gun collecting, but mostly it was all about family. He was fierce about family gatherings, celebrating milestones / holidays together and sitting at the dining room table enjoying a meal that was prepared by everyone else….he was proud of his mashed potatoes, but they took entirely too long to construct, so Flo stopped him early on with that contribution.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Hatcher Clark, his loving wife of 58 years Flora Nell Clark (Flo).
Russell is survived by his brother Jerry Clark and sister-in-law Barbara Clark; sons Allen Clark and Kevin Clark; daughter in law Linda Clark (Sally); son in law Dean Schindler; granddaughter Kim Clark and great granddaughter Harli Mata.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday March 21, 2026, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, TX.
Burial will follow at 1:30 pm at Forrest Park West in Shreveport, LA.
