Rubye Nell Barr's Obituary
Graveside services for Rubye Nell Barr, 89, of Longview will be at Rosewood Park at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016. A gathering for friends and family will be held at the mausoleum at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
Rubye was born on July 27, 1926 to Claude Edward and Nell Taylor of Corsicana. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, John L. (Buddy) Barr, her brother and sister-in-law, Claude Dickson (Bud) Taylor and Marie Taylor of Marshall.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Nelda and Bill Oswalt of Longview and Jan and Bob Hopkins of Loveland, Colorado; grandchildren, Daniel Oswalt and Kacey Koesel (Jaron) of Longview; Danny Hopkins of Dallas, Jenny Hopkins of Independence, Mo, and Alyssa Hopkins of Loveland, Colorado; Special friends, John and Terri Worley, Grant and Wade Worley of Longview.
Special thanks to the staff at Arabella of Kilgore for their loving care and support for the last 4 ½ years, as well as Compass Hospice of Tyler for their amazing care this past year.
