Ruby Simmons' Obituary
Services for Ruby Simmons will be held at the Woodland Hills Baptist Church on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., a visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the church.
Ruby was born on September 12, 1908 to Charles Thomas and Ida Bell Pankey in Duncan, Ok. She was married to Bradford Simmons in 1925. They moved to Longview in 1940. She moved to Tyler to live with a daughter at the age of 105 in 2013.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Brad and children, Louise Ray, Leon Simmons and Lloyd Simmons. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Patricia Allen, Kattie Burns and Sue LaBorde, sons-in-laws, Carl Burns and Michael LaBorde. 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several great-great and great-great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
