I hardly knew Ruby until we were in an English class together at Kilgore College. We were 27, and both getting a late start. After that class I only saw her once in a while around the campus, and only in passing. Then, years passed and I saw her at my father's funeral. I had heard about Laura Shae. That was a tragedy, and one I guess Ruby just couldn't bear. My sympathy goes to all who were close to JoJo. She's irreplaceable.
