Funeral services for Ruby D. Bryant, 89, of Longview will by held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. She passed away Wednesday, September 5, at her residence in Longview.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bryant was born February 1, 1923 in Linden to Hershell and Annie Kirkland. She retired Safeway after 25 plus years of service and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, B. L. Bryant; daughter, Billie Raye Bryant Schola; brother, Orvis Kirkland; and her grandson, Clarence Ray Maxwell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, B. L. Bryant, Jr. and wife, Darlene of Diana; daughter, Bobbie Doerge and husband Watson of Kilgore; brother, Ronald Gary Kirkland and wife Regina of Longview; grandchildren, Selinda Shaw, Terri Hallonquist, Tracey Oliver, Trisha Sampson, Pam Stafford, and Charlie Dee Stafford; brother-in-law, C. S. Bryant of Longview; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
