Royce Miller's Obituary
Royce Miller
Funeral services for Royce Miller, 89, went to be with his savior on Wednesday, April 28, 2004. He was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. Following the death of his beloved wife Lorraine last July, he had been living with his son and daughter-in-law in Signal Mtn., Tennessee, and he had moved back to Longview, Texas, in March of 2004.
He made himself known to family and friends as a man of good humor and extravagant generosity. Dearly loved and admired by his wife, children , grandchildren and great grandchildren, he strengthened and encouraged them by his unswerving faith in God?s Word. A man ready to help anyone anytime, he proved himself inventive, self-reliant, and resourceful-a true entrepreneurial spirit. If there were a better way to do something, he?d find it and build it.
He will be deeply missed by surviving family members, who include Bonnie Lilley and Brenda Plylerdaughters and Bill, Bob, and Barry sons. Eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive him.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oakland Heights Baptist Church 1600 Judson Road Longview, Texas 75601.
