Roy Vinson's Obituary
Services for Roy Vinson, 81, of Henderson will be 10:00a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson with Bob Payne officiating. The family will have a private burial. Mr. Vinson passed away at home on May 20, 2016. He was born May 1, 1935 to Clifford O’Neal and Maurine Thrasher Vinson.
Mr. Vinson was a supervisor with Eastman Chemical in Longview, TX for 18 years. He married his wife Tommie on August 16, 1956 and was a member of South Main Church of Christ in Henderson, TX for 55 years. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed helping others.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John D. Vinson and Jimmy R. Vinson; sisters, Eva Jo Trammell, Doris Waggerman and Evelyn Koncheck.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Tommie LaRue Adams Vinson of Henderson; sons, Dana Vinson and Wife Melany of Henderson, Dodd Vinson and wife Christy of Henderson and daughter, DeeAnn Vinson of Henderson; brother, Billy Gene Vinson of Montgomery, TX; grandchildren, Brooke York, Brock Vinson, Maria Smiddy, Jeffery Ward, Maddie Vinson and Mason Vinson; great grandchildren, Brynlie York, Briley York, Brayden York, Keith Smiddy, Lane Smiddy and Brody Ward. Also surviving are wonderful hosts of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dana Vinson, Dodd Vinson, Neal Vinson, Max Vinson, Bobby Fergerson and Rickey Chapman.
The family will receive friends Monday from 9:00a.m. until service time.
