Roy "Papaw" Robinson's Obituary
Roy Robinson, 73, of Hallsville went to be with the Lord in the morning of May 6, 2016, surrounded by his family. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 1pm at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Hallsville TX; there will be a visitation on Monday from 6-8pm at Rader Funeral Home.
Roy was born in Sesser IL, on September 19, 1942 to parents Wathan and Sadie Robinson. Following graduation from high school, Roy enlisted in the Air force where he served this country faithfully. After getting out of the Air Force, Roy used the skills that he had gained through his time in the military to become an electrician with Shell.
Roy was always a man who enjoyed life with those that he cared for; and he showed this through the use of his wit and jokes. He would spend any time that he wasn’t with the family that he loved hunting and fishing.
Roy was preceded in death by his both his parents, Wathan and Sadie. Those left to cherish their memories of Papaw include his wife of 52 years, Patricia Robinson; children Robin Robinson, Roy Russell Robinson and wife Lora, and Randy Robinson and wife Tricia; grandchildren Amber, Braden, Jenna, Lucas, and Natalie; his brother Kenneth Robinson and wife Nancy; 2 nephews and numerous friends.
