Roy Grace Linson
Funeral services for Roy Grace Linson, 64, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2003 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Tony Harp officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. She died Wednesday, October 1, 2003, at her residence in Longview. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Linson was born August 21, 1939 in Center, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Pasadena, Texas before moving to Longview in 1971. After 14 years service, she retired from the Longview News Journal. During her career at the News Journal, she held several various positions, including different clerical positions, reporter, and editor. Quilting was a hobby she enjoyed very much, and she was a former member of the local quilting guild. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, R. V. Linson of Longview; sons and daughter-in-law, Steve and Therese Linson of Longview, and Randy Linson of Longview; grandsons, Dillon Linson and Thomas Linson; and sister, Rex Ann Simmons of Conroe.
