My grandson and I just found out last Saturday, March 17,2007, that Brother Roy Deaver has passed away from a member of Northwest Church of Christ that I spoke with. I asked the lady if Mr. Weyland Deaver was in but was told only if his red pick-up truck was still parked on the side of the building. Then, I mentioned that Weyland's Dad, Mac Deaver, was one of my instructors at Brown Trail School of Preaching and that his grandfather, Brother Roy, was our director of the school. The lady told me that Bro. Deaver passed away almost 2 weeks ago and was buried in Longview, TX. I was very saddened and shocked. He and the other instructors at Brown Trail School of Preaching, class of 1975-1977, taught me everything I've always wanted to know about the Bible. I deeply appreciate you, Bro. Roy, Sister Deaver, Mac, Roy H., et. al.
