Rowina Hood Torres' Obituary
Rowina Hood Torres of Kilgore TX went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 56. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Danville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
Rowina was born May 22, 1961 in Germany. She was the daughter of late Erna and Billy Hood. She married Armando Torres on March 14, 1986. Rowina enjoyed being outdoors working in her in yard, camping, fishing and spending time with her family. She took pride in her yard work and her embudance of flower beds. Rowina never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she made sure to attend any activity they were involved in. Rowina was an amazing cook and the family always looked forward to Sunday dinner at Moms.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Armando Torres; son and daughter-in-law Tommy Hood and Amy Hood; daughters and son-in-laws Sonya and Jose Rojas, Angelica Torres and Donterio Moore of Kilgore; grandchildren Makayla “KK”, Adriana “Puddin”, Journee “Samaya”, Marcos “Bubba”, Cruz “Slim” and Amelia “Toot”. Sister and spouse Ernsta and Barry Jones of Beaumont.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Erna Hood, father Billy Hood as well as her brother Howard Hood and sister Rebecca Sanchez.
