Rosezetta Wert's Obituary
Memorial services for Rosezetta Wert will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Winterfield United Methodist Church with Pastors Virginia Pevey and Steven Newcomb officiating. Rosezetta was born November 1, 1934, in Oakland, Oklahoma, to Marvin and Luddie Nance. She went to be the Lord on May 8, 2019, in Longview, at the age of 84.
Rosezetta met Charles Wert during her high school years. They were married February 6, 1955, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and blessed with 64 years of marriage. Rosezetta was truly Charles’ soulmate and light of his life.
She was a homemaker and, later in life, worked alongside Charles as a human resource manager. Their partnership worked beautifully with their agreement that Charles was the boss at work and Rosezetta was the boss at home. After she retired, she worked for Oakland Heights Baptist Church Daycare in the nursery. And she loved taking care of her babies.
She loved family most of all and loved keeping up with everyone’s milestone’s and celebrations.
Rosezetta was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Luddie; brother, Alfred Nance; Charles’ parents, Charles and Juanita Wert; and sister, Sue Ingram.
She is survived by husband, Charles; son, Jeff and daughter-in-law, Lauren; daughter, Julie Rigby and son-in-law, Bob; sisters, Mary Lou Brace and husband Bob; Loe Neill and husband Roy; sister-in-law, Marilyn Nance; grandchildren, Lauren Wert, Megan Mims and husband John, Travis Wert, Kristen Klein, Ryan Rigby, Rhett Rigby and wife Carly, and Robyn Matkovich and husband Jerai; and one great-grandson, Knox Liam Rigby; nephews, Rodney Brace and wife Diana, Craig Brace and wife Lois, Jerry Brace and wife Sarah, Aaron Brace and wife Lynne, Brandon Neill, Chad Nance and wife Linda; nieces, Mary Martha Ford and husband Brad, and Kelly Neill; and extended, family Karen and Woody Ray, Vickie Clark Slover, and Johnnie Britian; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
