Rosemary Newton Stanley's Obituary
Rosary for Mrs. Rosemary Newton Stanley, 77, of Henderson, will be recited at 6: PM Wednesday, July 5, at the Rader funeral chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 Am Thursday, July 6, 2006, at St. Jude?s Catholic Church with Father Jay Lucas officiating. Interment will be in Davis Cemetery under the direction of Rader funeral home of Henderson.
Mrs. Stanley died Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler.
She was born January 8, 1929 in Louan, Arkansas to the late Theodore and Clara Prycer. The family moved to Henderson, Texas in the 30s where her father owned Prycers Dairy for many years. She graduated from Gaston High School, attended Kilgore College where she was a member of the Kilgore Rangerettes and Rangerettes Forever.
Mrs. Stanley retired from Rusk County Court?at-Law office of Judge Darrell Hyatt. Prior to that she worked for many years for Doctors Wolfe, Morris, and Springfield . She also worked in the office of District Attorney Wm. L. Bill Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Clara Prycer;brother Charles Prycer, first husband Claudie Ray Fig Newton, and son-in-law George Crater.
Surviving is her husband, Daniel R. Stanley of Henderson; son, Stephen Newton of Henderson; daughters Marguerite Crater of Henderson, and Cindy Bryan and husband Kyle of Henderson; sister, Mildred Adams and husband Dennis of Henderson; six grandchildren, Nathan and Patrick Newton of Henderson, Mandy Crater Elswick and husband Scott of Longview, Jacob Crater of Henderson, Julie and Joy Bryan of Henderson; four great grandchildren; step-sons, Dannie, David, and Darren Stanley; step-daughter, Stephanie Lee Hill and eight step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Newton, Patrick Newton, Jacob Crater, Tony Cavaliere, Phillip Cavaliere, and Chris Cavaliere.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Bryan, Scott Elswick, and Dennis Adams, and J.D. Mayo.
Visitation will immediately follow the rosary service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
