Janet Franklin
Rosemary was one of the wisest women I've ever met. She had an abundance of common sense and a knack for distilling any situation into the simplest, most honest terms. I look back on the years of teaching with her fondly; we shared our home-packed lunches and then would spend the rest of our lunchtime walking and talking when weather permitted. Roy and I painted the dog house for Miss Molly and enjoyed many a dinner at Rosemary's table. I learned so much about people and human nature from her. And she was always there when I needed her. She was a giver in every sense of the word. She called it "feeding the widows and orphans." She also taught me how to be a better teacher and a stronger person. We shared a love of working in the yard and a love of big dogs (she loved collies and I love golden retrievers). My life is enriched by knowing Rosemary and her family. I'll carry her in my heart always. Love, Janet Franklin
