Rose Marian Wilson's Obituary
Rose Marian Gilbert Wilson went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 17, 2012.
Marian was born in Tecumseh, Oklahoma on August 27, 1918 to William Wesley and Lucille Lee McCall Gilbert. She graduated from Tecumseh High School where she was valedictorian of the class of 1936. She attended East Central State University, Ada, OK, receiving her BS degree and was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. Marian was retired from the Longview ISD where she was a Special Ed teacher. She was a charter member of the St Andrew Presbyterian Church and had served as an Elder and Deacon.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, David Albert Wilson, daughters, Susan Elms and husband Larry of Longview and Barbara Burke and husband David Woolkalis of Hudson, New Hampshire, granddaughter, Allyson Petta and husband Robert of Keller, TX, grandson, Brandon Elms and wife Tracy of Aledo, TX, great grandchildren, Kenly and Cooper Elms of Aledo, TX and Luke Petta of Keller, TX, and sisters Willie Lee Scott of Norman, OK and Helen Pope of Oklahoma City, OK.
Special thanks from the family to Beacon Hospice and Lorraine Kennedy and to caregivers Jazmyn Shelton, Nancy Brown, Cindy Youngblood, Angela Anderson and Tina Timmons.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM Friday, August 3, 2012 at St Andrew Presbyterian Church with Reverend Scott Hookey officiating.
