I think your family knows how much love and respect our family has for your parents. I'm sure our parents are enjoying each others company now. I have great memories of the leadership, firm but kind voice, and exuberance for learning that Mr Northcutt shared. He was OUR wonderful principal at South Ward.
Mr. Northcutt was Principal at South Ward Elementary during my years there in the 1960s. He knew all the students by name, and made us feel special and safe. One day in 5th grade, I broke a rule on campus. Mr. Northcutt came and took me out of class for a talking to in the hall, and I learned that discipline could be equal parts firm and fair. He led a long, exemplary life, and was a positive role model for me and so many who grew up in Longview.

I had such a crush on your dad. He was the first male teacher I had ever had at 1st Ward. That admiration continued and I was so proud when my daughter started to Bramlette and there was Roscoe. He had your mother always stopped to talk and share years of memories. They were an awesome couple and are now together again. Prayers for all of you.

I remember your Dad from my days at South Ward Elementary and later going to school with Mike. I always admired your Dad as a Principal and the lessons I learned from him personally at school. He was a great leader and person. He lived a good life and made an impact on a lot of people.
