Ronnie Hallonquist's Obituary
Ronnie Hallonquist of Hallsville, Texas, passed away, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at a local hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 5, at Memory Park Cemetery, 2823 East Marshall Ave, Longview, TX 75601 Longview, Texas, Reverend Shinia Kelsey will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10am prior to the graveside service. Friends may sign a guest book from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m., Tuesday at Rader Funeral Home. Ronnie was born June 11, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Laurent and Melba Hallonquist. He graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1970. On August 21, 1982 he married the former Glenda Southerland in Hallsville, Texas. Ronnie was self- employed as a heavy equipment contractor. He co-owned Double R Construction with Rickey Leslie. Bent River Contractors was Ronnie’s current business with wife Glenda and son Justin. Ronnie enjoyed his work, hunting, fishing and most of all his wonderful family. Ronnie was a new grandfather and Jon Cutter was the light of his life. Ronnie never met a stranger and was always ready to help a friend.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Glenda, son Justin, his wife Courtney and grandson Jon Cutter, his brother Terry Hallonquist and wife Diana, nephew Jeremy, mother-in-law Mary Southerland, brothers-in-law Sidney Southerland and friend Jana, Travis Southerland and wife Pat, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurent and Melba Hallonquist.
Ronnie and Glenda were married 34 years. He was the light of her life and will be sorely missed. Ronnie had such a great sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed life. We will miss you Grandpa.
