Ronald Wayne Nix's Obituary
Services for Mr. Ronald Wayne "Hillbilly" Nix, 60, of Henderson, will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 27, 2008, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson with Jeremiah Tharp officiating and burial to follow at Crims Chapel Cemetery in Rusk County, Texas.
Mr. Nix passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Henderson.
Wayne was born on June 29, 1948, in Enid, Oklahoma to Will and Mae Pearl Nix. Mr. Nix made his residence in Henderson in 1984. He was employed with Martin L.P. Gas. Poppy Wayne spent many weekends visiting with his family and grandchildren, or teaching them the his little tricks for catching the big catfish at Lake Murvaul.
Mr. Nix is survived by his wife, Kay Nix of Henderson; mother May Pearl Nix of Henderson; daughter Angela Nix-Sammy of Houston, Tx, son and daughter-in-law Ronald W. and Amy Nix, Jr. of Henderson, son Anthony Nix of Flatonia, Tx, daughter and son-in-law Katherine and Ben Lariviere of Katy, Tx, daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Joel Rupert of Springfield, Mo, daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Aaron Deason, of Gilmer, Tx daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Derrick Lindsey, of Kilgore, Tx, son and daughter-in-law, Jeremiah and Dusty Tharp of Gilmer, Tx; grandchildren, William Nix, Mary Ann Nix, Brandon Rupert, Sydney Rupert, Justin Deason, Gauge Lindsey, Makayla Lindsey, Tristan Lindsey, Kersten Ellison, Rebecca Ellison, Anneliese Ellison, and Jonathan Tharp.
Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Samperi Nix, father Will Nix, sister Wanda Faye Rae, brother Emory Nix, and son John Nix
The family will receive friends Friday, December 26, 2008, from 6-8 P.M. at Rader Funeral Home in Henderson.
