Like so many others, I didn’t know Steve personally however over the years I purchased a few guide rods and found him to be thoughtful gentleman. As a caregiver for the last few years my attention has been focused on my parents consequently, sadly, I’m just learning of Steve’s passing. My sincere condolences to Bedair family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Steve Bedair in person but I did get the opportunity to do some custom guide rod business with him - I sent him the measurements / specifications and he sent me perfectly crafted pieces - I will remember him when I go shooting and my guns preform flawlessly - thanks Steve
My thoughts go out to his family. Recently stumbled upon his website; www.guiderod.com and was incredibly touched by his courage. My deepest sympathies go out to his family.
I wasn't fortunate enough financially to be able to afford one of Mr. Bedair's custom guide rods before his passing. However, as others have noted previously - his knowledge, reputation, and workmanship were universally acknowledged in the defensive handgun community - to put things in perspective, many of my local gun shops here in Minnesota recommended his products to all new pistol buyers. It truly breaks my heart to see the family photo on his website, looking at it and knowing that a hard working husband and father is now gone. I hope that his family and loved ones please accept my condolences this Independence Day weekend, knowing this man has left a great legacy in the products crafted by his hands: helping other Americans protect the ones they love. In my mind, there can be no cause more noble than this.
I loved his detailed Web Page and all of the knowledge he shared! Steve was an inspiration to all of us and made our lives more fulfilled and enjoyable through his sharing. God's Blessing to all of his family and friends. I will truly miss him.
Just heard of Mr. Bedair's passing. His creativity & passion served as an inspiration to amateurs and professionals alike, all over the world.

I am sorry to have seen the news of passing of Steve as I was looking to inquire about a guide-rod. I had previously ordered 2 of his guide-rods for 2 different Beretta guns my wife and I own. My only correspondence with him was by way of email, but it was like talking to a friend that I've known for a long time. He was extraordinarily patient and gladly answered all of my questions. His products were great and I still have them. My prayers go out to his family and his close loved ones. Thank you Steve.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss. This was a good man. It is my loss that I never had the privilege of knowing him personally. My dealings with Mr. Bedair were within the past year or so and purchased his stainless steel guide rods for all my pistols having been so pleased with the first purchase. But it was Mr. Bedair himself that put the quality into his work. Never having met him in person, never knowing him in life, I feel like I came to feel his character and integrity. What a shame there aren't more good me like Mr. Bedair that walk this earth among us. This is a loss we all share. Even to someone like me who never had the honor of knowing him.
