As children, Roger, Gary, Betty Ruth, my sister Glenda, and I used to play hide and seek in the large spirea bushes around Grandmother Holder's front porch on visits back to the Walnut Grove area from Kansas.
Carolyn Holder Edwards, first cousin of Roger, and daughter of Glenn Rogers Holder who was the older brother of Roger's mother Wilma Holder Lowry. Our family is having a tree planted in Roger's memory.

Brother, Roger always have allegiance to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in anything he ever did.
His Military Service for God and Country was above and beyond his dedicated service, beginning with the Viet Nam War, and concluding with his retirement from the Department of the Army in the Texas Army National Guard, where I was privileged to have served with him, prior to me going back to the Air Force Reserve.
He was a faithful American Legionaire under my command, and will be greatly missed by so very many.
His love of studying the Holy Scriptures and in his sharing at my church Oakland Heights Baptist Church of Longview, where after his retirement from the Army, served as assistant Custodian.
Brother Roger will be greatly missed here, but was certainly welcomed to his Heavenly Home on December 26, 2025.
Thanks for the memories, Brother Roger. I will look forward to fellowshipping with you again beyond the gates of heaven.
