Roberta E. Sutton's Obituary
Graveside services for Roberta Sutton will be held at the Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10am. Roberta passed away peacefully in her home on July 27, 2021 in Longview, TX.
Roberta was born on May 9, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to parents Robert and Marjory Moss. She graduated from Maplewood Richmond Heights High School in 1961. She married her husband of 58 years, James (Jim) W. Sutton. They were together, members of 1st Lutheran Church of Longview.
Roberta had a true “gift for gab” and seemed to have never met a stranger. She loved people, in particular children and babies. She was a true renaissance woman who could garden, can, bake, knit, and sew.
In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Jim Sutton. Those left to cherish their memories of Roberta include her children and spouses, Andy Sutton and wife Brandi, Robin Sutton Hardwicke and Dave Beach, Larry Sutton and wife Dawn; grandchildren Tyler Sutton, Lake Sutton, Laura Hardwicke, Shelby Sutton, Sierra Jordon, Gideon Jaudon and Mikaela Jaudon; great-granddaughter Dahlia Chumley; as well as her cousins, extended family and friends.
