Saundra Stump-Buck
In honor of Bob's 3 daughters, Lynn, Linda and Rebecca( Wolfe),
Lynn and Becky, May you always know that you were loved fiercely by your devoted Mother, your grandmother, your uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. I do honor Bob, in that without his contribution, I would not have ever had my beautiful cousins. So for that, thanks, Bob. Below you will find my poem.
with much love, your cousin, sister and friend, Saundra.
You thought you left a trail of broken glass, but you just exposed your own fragile frame. A whole man stays and protects his blood, but you ran from the weight of a father's name. The void that you chose to create was vast, but those three sisters resolutely stood. They refused to let your ghost seal their fate, and built a bond that was fierce and good. Your oldest daughter was forced to grow fast, but she found her prince and she married young. She built a safe harbor, a home of her own, Where a beautiful, lasting love story begun. Beside her true partner, she finally saw the devotion and truth that you threw away. Through the eyes of the family she nurtured and raised, She learned exactly how a real father stays. The middle child passed with her questions intact, but she died with a dignity you denied. She didn't need answers to validate worth, the failure was entirely on your side. And your youngest grew up without your embrace, untouched by the shadow of what you had done. She never lacked warmth, she never lacked love, she rose like the fierce and unyielding sun. An independent woman, resilient and proud, she forged her own armor and built her own name. You thought your departure would ruin her world, but she conquered the life that you left in the shame. Now you are gone, and you take to your grave the hollow reality of what you became. Your daughters thrived in the choices they made, while you drowned in the dark of your own design.
