Robert W. Elliott
Funeral services for Robert W. Elliott, 55, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Reverend Steve Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park Garden of Patriots under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Sunday, July 10 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Robert was born July 18, 1949 in Longview to Scott and Dorothy Elliott. He was employed with the Kilgore Independent School District for 19 years, and was a former employee of Industrial Power and Supply for 14 years. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
He was a U. S. Navy Special Forces Vietnam Veteran and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal Combat ?V?, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, The Bronze Star Combat ?V?, and the Navy Commendation Medal Combat ?V?.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Nelda Elliott of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Jeff Noble of Nacogdoches; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Jennifer Elliott of Longview; grandchildren, Nicholas and Jaxon Noble; step-grandchildren, Lane, Caleb, and Teya Jordan; parents, Scott and Dorothy Elliott of Carthage; brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Carol Elliott of Longview; sister Evelyn Bice of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
