Robert Gene Timmons' Obituary
Robert Gene Timmons passed on December 17, 2023, at the age of 80 years old.
He was born on February 2, 1943, in Nacogdoches, Texas to Huey Carl Timmons and Lillian Endora Bright Timmons. He grew up with his brother Richard Lee Timmons.
He married his high school sweetheart, Lola Elaine Ball, by eloping in Lovington, New Mexico on October 31, 1964. They had three children together: Kevin Duane, Kory Donn, and Kara D’Rae, affectionately called KKK on Christmas cards. Robert and Lola would eventually divorce, and Robert would marry Joyce Allison Timmons, to whom he would remain married until her passing in 2020.
Robert is survived by his children: Kory Timmons (Nancy) and Kara Timmons Hoops (Eron); by his grandchildren: Sarah Timmons King, Hunter Timmons, Kaylea Timmons, Konner Timmons, Kody Timmons, Ethen Hoops, and Erica Hoops Self; and by his great-grandson Kohen Self.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Lola Elaine Ball Timmons Stiles, his second wife, Joyce Allison Timmons, his son Kevin Timmons, and his brother Richard Lee Timmons.
His service will be Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 2pm at Rader Funeral Home, located at 1617 Judson Road, Longview, TX 75601.
