Robert L. Suarez's Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert L. Suarez, who left this world peacefully on March 23, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Born on May 22, 1947, in Beaumont, Texas, to Alex Saurez Jr and Petra Salvane Suarez. Robert's journey through life was marked by his kindness, resilience, and love for his family. He lived a life rich in experiences and profound contributions to both his country and his community. Robert attended Kilgore Junior College and worked at Lacks Furniture as a Furniture Salesman.
Robert is remembered fondly as a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, Carolyn Suarez. Together, they created a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their bond was a radiant example of love and partnership, and Carolyn’s unwavering support was a source of strength throughout Robert's life. Together they created countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew them.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Robert served valiantly during the Vietnam War, earning the Silver Star and Bronze Star, along with three Purple Hearts for his bravery and dedication. His service is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the values of freedom and patriotism. Robert’s courage and sacrifice will forever be honored and remembered.
He navigated his life with integrity and a sense of adventure, engaging with the world around him and demonstrating the importance of compassion and understanding. Robert is survived by the love of his life, his wife Carolyn Suarez, son Joshua Breedlove and wife Jade, grandchildren Amelia Breedlove and Cove Breedlove, and sister Romana Suarez, as well as numerous other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Petra Suarez, and brothers Allen Suarez, Roy Suarez, Larry Suarez, and Lee Suarez.
In honoring Robert's life and spirit, we invite friends and family to join us for a funeral service celebrating his extraordinary journey. The service will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 2:00pm at Reimage Church , (2472 FM 1844 Longview, Texas 75605) where we will share stories, reminisce about joyful moments, and pay tribute to a remarkable man who will be dearly missed.
As we gather to celebrate Robert's life, we will remember his warmth and wisdom, ensuring that his spirit continues to live on in the stories we share and the love we carry forward. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Texas Resource Center at www.helpforvets.com in Robert's memory, reflecting his generous heart and commitment to helping others.
