Mr. Robert E. Patenaude's Obituary
Age 81, passed away on March 17, 2014, in Longview, Texas. He was born in Milwaukee, on February2, 1933 to Ervin and Lillian Patenaude. He graduated from Greendale High School in 1951. Bob served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Carol Eggert Patenaude in 1952. They were married for 60 years until her death in 2013. They moved to Texas in 1982, living in several areas including Dallas, Kerrville and Longview. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved visiting and talking with people (just like his father). He had a special way with his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, always taking time to play games and telling Susie Q stories. He was an avid sport enthusiast enjoying playing golf and watching his teams Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks and Texas Rangers. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol, parents Ervin and Lillian Patenaude and sister Patricia DePledge.
He is survived by his two children, Nancy Richards and husband Frank, Larry Patenaude and wife Lori, sister Shirley and brother-in-law Jim Piotrowski, Dolores Drewicz, two grandchildren, Rob Richards and Becki Jahn and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 10:30 am at New Beginnings Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Kaunitz officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service.
