Robert C. Mueller's Obituary
Robert C. Mueller beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 18, 2024 at the age of 86. Robert was born on June 23, 1938, in Marysville, Kansas to Jacob and Marian Mueller. He grew up on the family farm in Hanover, Kansas which he owned until 2019. He graduated from Hanover High School and attended Kansas State where he graduated with a degree in History and one year of law school. He worked for 42 years for BNSF Railroad retiring in 2000 as a claim’s agent in Temple, Texas. After retirement he relocated to Longview, Texas where he married his current wife, Patricia A. Mueller. During their retirement years, they enjoyed travel. He made frequent trips to Hanover, KS to tend to the family farm until the sell. He especially enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO and riding go-carts with his grandchildren. He loved to visit Temple, TX to visit his daughters and grandchildren. He delighted in watching his grandchildren in their sporting events. In addition to travel, Robert enjoyed his hobbies of classic cars, reading history, and jazz music. He served the Longview community faithfully being involved with the Texas Ramp Project, Gideons, Habitat for Humanity, and Meals on Wheels. He attended First Lutheran Church and was an active member of the choir and also served in other capacities within the church. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Marian Mueller, sister Maryann Buchanan and brother-in law Chris Buchanan. He is survived by his wife Patricia Mueller, daughters Heather Davis and husband Eric, Ashley Ash, Monica Gabriel and husband Steve, Jill Pyle and husband Bill, grandchildren Nicholas Mueller, Kal-El Davis, Ethan and Ellena Ash, Colton and Bailey Gabriel, Landon, Mallory and Lauren Pyle, great-grandchildren Kayden and Aria Gabriel. The family would like to recognize and express their gratitude to Prime Care Hospice, Visiting Angels and special caregivers, Joy Green, and Maci Gray. A Memorial Service will be held at First Lutheran Church on September 14, 2024 at 2pm with a reception and visitation to follow.
