He returned to Longview to retire where he enjoyed working crossword puzzles, bird watching and spending time with close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Elanzo “Bill” Morgan and Phyllis Cochran Morgan; and his brother, Jim Morgan, all of Longview. Also preceding him in death were his good friends Dr. Jack Covin and Sterlin Barton.
He is survived by a cousin, Bob A. Sherrill and wife, Kay, of Baldwin, Missouri; and life-long friends, Emily Erisman Myers, Patricia Fuller Sandison, Phyllis Throckmorton Shaw, Ann Thomas Hamilton and Sue Melton Rathburn plus many special friends.
Bob will be remembered for his compassion for others and unconditional friendship. Special acknowledgement and appreciation is expressed for the ICU and second floor nurses and doctors at Longview Regional Medical Center during Bob’s valiant final struggle with COPD.
