Graveside services for Robert Milton Plaschke, 73, of Hallsville will be held at 10 AM Monday morning, August 11, 2003 at Rosewood Park with the Father Gavin Vaverek officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. Plaschke was born on October 7, 1929 in St. Louis, MO. to Richard and Julia Plaschke.  He passed away on August 7, 2003 in a Longview hospital.  He was retired from Lone Star Steel, owned and operated Plaschke Jewelers in Longview for many years, and was of the Catholic faith.
A loving father and grandfather, Mr. Plaschke was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Betty Lou, and parents.  He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Patty Sheridan and Scott of Longview, Kristi McBride and David of Gladewater; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark Plaschke, of Hallsville, and Randal Plaschke and his wife Debora of Hallsville; nine grandchildren, Hollie Jones, Kelly Jones, Nicholas Jones, Nicole Burks, Brinson Burks, Brittany Plaschke, Stacey Plaschke, Brandon Plaschke, and Kayleigh Plaschke; a sister, Vera Haper of Longview; sister-in-law, Patsy Plaschke of Hallsville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, August 10, 2003 at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Road.
